Puestas y Espumas / Sunsets and Sea-foam. Is a new body of works that contains textiles and sculptures, both -considered and created as three-dimensional works- they reflect on the illusion of motion.
In one hand the sun moving away to give light to other lands gives us the last emotions of the day, for minutes the sun feels still, motionless. Creating picture after picture the sun introduce us to that space and time in which he will be missed. The sea foam, is an act of vanishing in itself, yet beautiful in many ways, it has been often used in literature as a metaphor of illusion/s, something that grows ‘castles’ of nothing. ‘Puestas y Espuma’ are meant to be exciting and transformative, in many ways that is how I look to our actual moment, to this very present present.
